Studentské psychologické dny nejsou zatím na naší katedře příliš populární záležitostí. Představují určitou práci nad rámec studentských povinností a je pochopitelné, že i tato skutečnost může někoho odradit. Není to však práce příliš obsáhlá, důležité je vytvořit prezentaci a text, v němž jen shrnete to, co už jste například napsali do bakalářské práce.
Účast na SPD však určitě stojí za jedno či dvě odpoledne, které nad tím strávíte. Oba vnímáme, že to pro nás byla velmi cenná zkušenost. Umožnilo nám to představit téma, kterým jsme se zabývali poměrně dlouhou dobu ostatním kolegyním a kolegům, seznámit je s něčím, co považujeme za zajímavé a důležité. Mohli jsme otestovat své prezentační dovednosti jak před neznámými lidmi, tak i před těmi, jejichž jména jsme znali zatím jen z obalů knih či z titulků v článcích.
Setkání s psycholožkami a psychology z různých částí České republiky ale i ze Slovenska bylo velmi obohacující. Měli jsme možnost vyslechnout si přednášky našich kolegyň a kolegů z jiných fakult a zjistit tak, jaké další zajímavé výzkumy u nás vznikají. Zároveň jsme také získali důležitou zpětnou vazbu k vlastní práci, náměty k zamyšlení, co by se dalo zlepšit, ale třeba i tipy na užitečnou literaturu.
Navíc by bylo dobré podotknout ještě jednu věc, která nemusí být zcela zřejmá. Účast katedry na akcích tohoto typu je důležitá pro nás studenty také z hlediska našeho budoucího uplatnění. Určitě jsme plnohodnotnou katedrou psychologie, ale bohužel ne vždy je na nás tak nahlíženo. Účast na SPD a reprezentace naší katedry by také mohla být jedním ze střípků mozaiky, jak pro ni postupně získávat stále lepší pověst, což se jistě projeví také při snazším hledání naší vysněné psychologické profese.
